What we collect.
What we don’t.
What we promise.
Last updated · Open CSV by Infamous Endeavors
Open CSV is an outlier in the Infamous Endeavors product line. The general privacy practices at infamousendeavors.com/privacy describe what most of our apps do. This app does not do most of those things, so this page exists to spell out what’s actually true.
What we collect
Nothing. Literally none of the categories Apple’s App Privacy questionnaire asks about. The app does not phone home, does not log events, does not register a unique identifier, does not record anything you do.
What we don’t do
These are promises, not aspirations. If any of them change, the change shows up here first.
- We don’t collect analytics of any kind. The app ships zero telemetry SDKs. No screen-view tracking, no crash reporters, no performance monitors, no event logging.
- We don’t have user accounts. Nothing to sign up for. Nothing to sign in to. Nothing tied to an email address.
- We don’t sync to iCloud or any cloud. Your files stay on your device. The app has no network code beyond the one-time in-app purchase verification with Apple’s servers.
- We don’t use third-party SDKs. The entire app is built on Apple’s own frameworks: SwiftUI, StoreKit 2, UniformTypeIdentifiers, Foundation. Nothing else.
- We don’t run ads. Not now, not later. Open CSV is paid software; we don’t need to.
- We don’t sell, rent, or share your data. There is no data to share.
Where data lives
On your device. Always.
- CSV files you open are read from the location you pick (Files, iCloud Drive, an attachment in another app) via Apple’s secure document picker. The app reads them in place and never copies them anywhere off-device.
- The parsed table, your sort order, and any active filter all live in memory only. Closing the app discards them.
- When you tap Share, the app hands the system share sheet your original, unmodified file. Where it goes from there is your choice, not ours.
In-app purchase
The Pro Unlock ($2.99, one-time) is processed by Apple’s StoreKit 2 directly. We do not use RevenueCat or any third-party purchase framework. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card number or your Apple ID. Apple gives the app a verified entitlement; the app checks that entitlement on launch via Apple’s on-device API.
Children
Open CSV is not directed at children under 13. The app does not collect data from anyone, so there is no children-specific collection to disclose. Age rating: 4+.
Your rights
If you’re in a jurisdiction with data-protection rights (GDPR, CCPA, and the rest), the short version is: there is no data to access, no data to delete, no profile to correct. The app holds nothing about you that we could surface or remove.
If you have questions, email support@infamousendeavors.com. One person answers, and they answer every one.
When this changes
If any of the above changes (for example, if a future version adds optional analytics or optional iCloud sync), the “Last updated” date moves and the change is described here and in the version’s release notes. No silent rewrites.
